Most layout problems start with a list of things to fit in. A better approach starts with questions about how the space is used.
Map the routines
Where do you drop your bag when you come home? Where does the morning light land? Which rooms are busy at the same time? These answers reveal paths and pinch points that no furniture catalogue will.
Plan the movement first
Keep the main routes clear and generous, then place furniture to support them. A room that is easy to move through will almost always feel larger.
