Built around a pocket of green.
The courtyard became the organising idea for the whole home. Living, dining and circulation spaces open toward it, so daylight and greenery are present from almost every room.

The Brief
A growing family needed more privacy from the street, better daylight and a home that felt connected to the outdoors throughout the year.

The Design Response
We reorganised the plan around the courtyard, introduced a calm palette of lime plaster and timber, and used screens and thresholds to balance openness with privacy.

Outcome
A sheltered, light-filled home where the garden feels like another room, and the family has space to gather or retreat.
